Christmas Day

Morning.

Snow covered rooftop, lights on the trees...

The sound of singing I hear down every street

Families have gather from miles away

Oh Merry Christmas, it's Christmas Day

You see that old tree down cotton lane

Those lights keep shining it's always the same

We hear the church bells ring out to say

Oh Merry Christmas. It's Christmas day

See the lights and hang the stockings

Decorate with green and red

Made the cookies for old santa

Made a runway for his sled

Singing carols on a sleigh ride

Gather 'round the manger scene

Open presents and read the letters

And together we will sing A Merry Christmas

Joy to the world

For every nation

for every boy and girl

Let's light a candle

for peace we pray

Oh Merry Christmas

It's Christmas day

Ooooooh

It's Christmas Day.

*Michael W. Smith and Mandisa, Christmas Day

Evening

A wonderful Christmas Day feast was followed by a Christmas night feast with our dear friends, the Sanfords.

The best of all gifts around any Christmas tree: the presence of a happy family all wrapped up in each other. ~Burton Hillis

For centuries men have kept an appointment with Christmas. Christmas means fellowship, feasting, giving and receiving, a time of good cheer, home. ~W.J. Ronald Tucker

Christmas is not as much about opening our presents
as opening our hearts. ~Janice Maeditere

Perhaps the best Yuletide decoration is being wreathed in smiles. ~Author Unknown

I heard the bells on Christmas Day
Their old, familiar carols play,
And wild and sweet
The words repeat
Of peace on earth, good-will to men!
~Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Happy New Year, Y'all!
