Live, Laugh, Love :)

I don’t know if you’ve ever seen fireworks in Texas, but let me tell you, they’re something to see. After all, everything is bigger in Texas!

Have you ever seen fireworks in Illinois? My, oh my...they're something to see as well! :) Though, far smaller (at least the one's that ppl without licences can use)...

Okay, okay, lol, don’t feel too bad, my dear Illinois friends, they were pretty funny...

Just kidding! :) The small-town fireworks were great. And driving home from the celebration we did happen to see some more amazing fireworks as well...

Anyway, our dear friends, the Sanford’s, hosted the Fourth of July party for Providence Church this year and it was a delightful evening filled with Ultimate Frisbee, Volleyball, laughter, food, singing, speeches (Ashton read the Declaration of Independence), and fun and games. It was a wonderful Independence Day.

Unfortunately, our dumb old camera…sorry *ahem* our dear unintelligent camera deleted almost half of our pictures, so we don’t have as many as I’d like (for instance, of the games), but I’m sure if you check out Ashton's, David's or the Candler’s blogs you’re likely to discover some photos (ok, hopefully you will).

Christa and Daniel are visiting us in Illinois for a few days, which is lovely. They attended the Fourth of July Celebration with us as well! We were also pleased to find out that Christa’s expecting (enceinte-in French!)!!! I’ve been thinking of good "aunt names"…How about “Aunty Jessica”? Or “Aunt Jess” or something catchy like that? lol.

Also, we just got back from a trip to Alabama a few days ago. It was wonderful to see our friends there…the Chanceys, the Keens and the Turleys. As well as some new friends!! It was soooo nice to be in the sweet land of Dixie again!! :D

Hmm…wow, I was expecting this post to be a lot longer than it is….oh well!
Happy…um…Happy National Ice Cream Month!!!

Cool! We used to live in Alabama years ago and Matt Chancey's mother, father, and family were our next-door neighbors! His sister was also our piano teacher! Small world, huh? :)

I'm not sure you should judge small town fireworks vs. Houston as comparing Illinois to Texas.

Peoria has one of the largest shows in the United States, I'm told, and it is a much bigger sight to behold.

Joe, I would only...lol...I hate it when ppl call me Jessie! lol! oh well...

James, yeah, I actually was just talking to some friends that have seen the Peoria show...I'm sorry if I didn't make this clear, but I was being sarcastic...aka I was just joking about the fireworks. I tend to be a bit saracastic sometimes...

Nathan...thanks! :)

James, btw, I reread what I had written and realized it did sound a bit judgemental (did I spell that right?)...I changed the wording a bit, I hope that's better. Thanks for pointing that out!

Ah yeah, I guess that's like when people call me Joey. I'd rather not be called a baby kangaroo!
