The other day the Candler family invited us over to spend an evening at their house. So Tiffany, Caleb and I made our way over with the game "Cranium" and a camera (of course!).
It was a wonderfully refreshing evening full of laughter, fellowship and delicious honey popcorn (courtesy of Mr. Candler). Here are some photos of the evening:

Some of us posed for a quick photo before the games began...

My team (and the other team...) watches as I draw a man walking on a tight rope blindfolded (I'm blindfolded, by the way, not the man on the tight rope. *smile*) They didn't actually end up guessing right but it was fun anyway! :)

I love Lenna's face in this one. She's looking at me and at the card like "How in the world am I going to do this?! You nut!" *grin* I'm smiling like "Oh sure...it'll be easy..." :D

Lenna and I again (she was on my team, by the way.) looking at some more cards (now I'm the one that's looking not so sure)...

Everyone's huddled over the game board planning their next move!

Sierra stands atop Caleb and Josiah. You can probably tell we were all in a pretty goofy mood! :)

More photos to come later! (I would put them all up now, but blogger is acting up and won't let me post anymore for the time being...)

Also, could I ask y'all to pray for my Mom? She had a fever of 102 yesterday, and it went up to 103.4! Thank the Lord, it went down again this morning, but she feels really dreadfully, and your prayers would be appreciated! Thank you!

In His Service,

Jessica

P.S. Tiffany posted about our thrilling sledding expedition with the Ryken family. You can view photos and read about it here: www.itsthesimplethings.blogspot.com

Elissa,
William is doing a lot better! He was really sick yesterday, but he's a TON better today!
Mom's still under the weather, I think it hit her a bit harder than William... and now it looks like Dad MIGHT be coming down with it as well. And I agree Fever's are NOT fun!

Love, Jess

Thanks for the prayers. Now y'all can pray for Jessica! Her fever has been over 103 all day. It just started going down (it was 102.5 last I checked). Her throat is really sore and she has a bad headache. She won't let me take her picture or I'd show you how bad she looks. ;-) Thanks for praying!

I hope that you're feeling better, Jessica! :-)
I was wondering... I cannot for the life of me remember all of the Allison kids' names! I think that one of them is Ben, and one is Samuel? But I'm not certain about those names either. Would you stop by my blog and tell me their names? Please?
Thanks! ;-)

I'm glad that you're feeling better! :-)
Yeah! I can't wait to see you in May! I hope that you're planning on teaching us some new dances! :-)
Have a great day!

Hey Jessica,

Thanks for the comment you left last week. It is a real encouragement when someone who didn't even meet him says what you did. Thanks...

I am looking forward to our trip in May! My memories of Illinois are rain, rain, and more rain, so I sort of want to see what it's like without all of the water! We'll see you and your fam in a couple of months!

Blessings,
Thomas

Mom, thank you so much for the post. It appears y'all's prayers worked and I feel SO much better! Just some head congestion, but otherwise, I feel pretty much like my normal self! Thank you for the prayers!

Joy, you're welcome! :) And we can't wait to teach y'all new dances! They're lots of fun! Our new favorite is from the 1995 "Pride and Prejudice" called "Mr Beveridge's Maggot". Y'all will love it!

Amy, thank you!!!!

Thomas, you're very welcome. It's amazing how many families (and people) Mr. Davis touched with his life. And ours was no exception. We mourn his loss deeply here.
Rain...yikes. Thankfully, at the moment we've none of that. Actually right now it's only snow, snow, horrid wet snow outside. :) Hopefully May will be rain and snow-free. :) ) It's really pretty here in May, thankfully, and we have a big lake with a lovely view (great for camping!!), so we should have a great time!!

Looking forward to seeing y'all in May (Joy, Amy and Thomas)!!

In Christ Jesus,
Jessica
