~Mother's Day~

"A mother is the truest friend we have, when trials, heavy and sudden, fall upon us; when adversity takes the place of prosperity; when friends who rejoice with us in our sunshine, desert us when troubles thicken around us, still will she cling to us, and endeavor by her kind precepts and counsels to dissipate the clouds of darkness, and cause peace to return to our hearts." - Washington Irving

No Love like a Mother's Love
By Jill Lemming

There is no love, like a mother's love,
no stronger bond on earth...
like the precious bond that comes from God,
to a mother, when she gives birth.

A mother's love is forever strong,
never changing for all time...
and when her children need her most
a mother's love will shine.

God bless these special mothers,
God bless them every one...
for all the tears and heartache,
and for the special work they've done.

When her days on earth are over,
a mother's love lives on...
through many generations,
with God's blessings on each one.

Be thankful for our mothers,
for they love with a higher love...
from the power God has given,
and the strength from up above.

~My Mother~

I have the most wonderful mother in the world. Never have I seen anyone like her. She has raised my siblings and I with such love and devotion, giving herself up to her sacred calling. She has been a helpmeet to my father, and a tireless teacher, organizer and friend to all.
I remember last year when we all came down with the flu. My dear, precious mother brought me blankets, water, fed me broth, sat beside me keeping me company and showed overwhelming love to me. I think that as we grow older we learn to appreciate our Mother's more...how much they do for us, and how much they love us. What would we do without mothers?
I can truly rise up and call my Mother blessed.

Happy Mother's Day, my dear Mother. God bless you. I love you.

In Christ Alone,

Jessica
