What a night! Yesterday evening Tiff and I went over to the tea room to help serve for a bridal shower. We were expecting 22 people. The woman hosting it said there would be 22 people. So what do we do? Being the smart people that we are, we decided (Tiff and I made their meal of Lemon Garlic Chicken and Ms Wintra made the mashed potatoes.) to make 30 big pieces of chicken. After all, more people might just show up...right? Not exactly.
11 people showed up. It was kind of dissapointing, but at the same time alright, since then we would not have so much to do, and we could leave to go home earlier.
It ended up being a fun night. I love waitressing at our tea room and it was a good experience.

I also was thinking about a certain song today. It's an excellent song sung by one of my favorite groups. Here are the words (tell me what you think!):

Little Town of Bethlehem

Oh little town of Bethlehem
Looks like another silent night.
Above your deep and dreamless sleep
A giant star lights up the sky
And while you’re lying in the dark
There shines an everlasting light
For the King has left His throne
And is sleeping in a manger tonight
Oh Bethlehem, what you have missed while you were sleeping
For God became a man
And stepped into your world today
Oh Bethlehem, you will go down in history
As a city with no room for its King
While you were sleeping
While you were sleeping
Oh little town of Jerusalem
Looks like another silent night
The Father gave His only Son
The Way, the Truth, the Life had came
But there was no room for Him in the world He came to save
Jerusalem, what you have missed while you were sleeping
The Savior of the world is dying on your cross today
Jerusalem
, you will go down in history
As a city with no room for its King
While you were sleeping
While you were sleeping
United States of America
Looks like another silent night
As we’re sung to sleep by philosophies
That save the trees and kill the children
And while we’re lying in the dark
There’s a shout heard ‘cross the eastern sky
For the Bridegroom has returned
And has carried His bride away in the night
America, what will we miss while we are sleeping
Will Jesus come again
And leave us slumbering where we lay
America
, will we go down in history
As a nation with no room for its King
Will we be sleeping
Will we be sleeping

Isn't a good song?
Well, I'd better close now. Adieu!!

Isn't that by Casting Crowns? Yes...definitely a good song!

Do you all, by any chance, ever share your recipes? The Lemon Garlic Chicken sounds incredible! But if you don't want to share the recipes, what cookbooks do you usually use? Or do you just "wing it" (no pun intended in regards to the chicken!) and not use cookbooks? Just curious since I'm always on the lookout for new recipes...
Have a glorious day!

Yes, that's by Casting Crowns. They right such wonderful songs, dont' they?

Well, I don't think I can share the recepie...but I CAN tell you some of the cookbooks that we use. Hmmm....Southern Living Cookbook, Stop and Smell the Rosemary, and almost anything from Williams Sonoma (www.williamssonoma.com).
LOL! Acutally we do "wing it" alot! :D But not all the time.

Hope that helps!!
