*Happy Birthday, Mom!*

This month, we celebrate the birthday of a very dear person in my family. Not only is she dear because I love her more than words can say, but because she has poured herself into living for her family and her children, of which I am one. That's right, it's the birthday of my Mother.

It seems like nothing I can write here in this blog post would ever do her justice. But I will do my best. :-)

There was so much my Mother had to give up in order to have so many children. For instance things like having a spotlessly clean house, less food to buy, less clothes to wash, less baths to give and less diapers to change. But she gave it up anyway and has poured her life into each one of us, to ensure that we are well-made arrows when it comes time for us to go out into the world and to take dominion of it.
She has been to us the comforter when we are hurt, the guide when we are wrong, the smile when we are down, and the encourager when we aren't sure. She has loved me, even though I know at times I don't deserve it. I know that my Mother wants the best for me and desires me to grow to be a Woman after God's own heart. And I thank her from the depths of my heart.

"Her children rise up and call her blessed; Her husband also, and he praises her: 'Many daughters have done well, But you excel them all.' Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, But a woman who fears the LORD, she shall be praised." - Proverbs 31: 28-30

My Mother truly is the most beautiful woman in the world. Happy Birthday, Mother! I love you!

P.S. I was going to put up some scanned photos from when she was younger, but unfortunately our scanner decided not to work. :( So these are all more recent pictures.

If I can wipe the tears out of my eyes, I'll write something intelligent...
This was very sweet. And you forgot to mention what a blessing her writings have been to all of us who haven't met her personally. :) *She's my hero.*
